Exchange, Repair or Return
As defined by (Dutch) law, the provisions in the law “Buying at a distance", (‘Wet Kopen op Afstand’) apply on our products. Distance selling protects consumers who purchase goods and services at a distance, in other words with no face-to-face contact. The so-called “cooling off period”, 14 days, which is legally termed “distance purchase” also applies on our products. During this period you can judge by yourself if the product(s) measures your wishes.
If you want to revoke or cancel your order, you are obliged to return the product, in a reasonable state, to us with all accessories and in its original state and packing. Return costs are for your own account.

HandPanShop only accepts return shipments if:
(Products to be named below: including Handpans, other musical instruments, bags, stands, maintenance products, books and DVDs, maintenance products and other accessories)
Excluded from exchange or restitution:
HandPanShop reserves the right to refuse returned products that do not meet the stated conditions. If this is the case, the product remains your property, or we will credit a part of the invoice amount.
If the returned product does meet the stated conditions your invoice will be credited within 14 days.
Return Shipment procedure.
Please note the following steps to return your product:

Please provide all information as completely and accurately as possible so we can handle the return order correctly.
The following information is necessary to complete your return:
invoice number, which product or products you want to return (article numbers), your full name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. You are not obliged to state a reason, but we appreciate it if you will indicate this.
Make sure the original packaging is not damaged. Put the product in its original packaging in a suitable and sturdy packaging. Send the return shipment to:

All costs and risk of return shipment are at all times at the expense of the customer. Keep the shipping receipt in a safe place. Be sure to use sufficient postage. Unstamped parcels or parcels sent COD are not accepted. After receiving the return shipment, you will be sent a confirmation by e-mail.
You can count on us in case your purchase becomes defective within the warranty period. If applicable the defective product will be repaired or if necessary replaced by HandPanShop. If the warranty period has expired, don’t worry we are also there for you, to find a suitable solution.
Handpans are very sensitive instruments. They have to be handled and played properly and correctly. When handled and played correctly, a HandPan should not go and remain “out of tune”.
We offer 12 months warranty on “tuning” under normal use and circumstances. When the warranty period is expired we are also there for you, acting as a reasonable and fair company.
Retuning a HandPan is part of normal maintenance, just like a piano needs to be tuned once in a while. How often a HandPan needs to be retuned depends on various factors. For example the type of metal it is made of. However, the owner and player of the HandPan is the most crucial factor. Proper maintenance and how and at what frequency the HandPan is played. Neither the manufacturer of the HandPan or we can’t do anything if maintenance is improper.

If a product is listed in the web shop as “in stock” you will receive the product within 2 to 3 working days. In exceptional cases it can happen that the stock status on the web shop is incorrect. In that case we will contact you immediately and we will deliver as soon as possible.
